2000 S Maryland State Quarter

2000 Quarter Reverse2000 Quarter Obverse

Coin Dealer Insight: The Maryland state quarter error has a few notable errors. There seem to be a number of Off Center or Broadstrike errors. There are also a few strike throughs, and strangely enough a few State Quarters that were struck on Nickel Planchets. If you are buying the ones on Nickel Planchet make sure they are certified. Also Double Die errors, and a few missing clad layers can be found. It seems 2000 was a big year for errors. Thomas D. Rodgers was the engraver. The Maryland Dome at State House is featured on the reverse. Also the words "The Old Line State, and white oak branches can be seen.

Value: Can usually be found and sold for somewhere between $0.25-$9.00 price dictated by condition, certification, and current demand. Other factors include location, inventory, and urgency of sale.
